Everything you need to know about Chrome 74

Google recently launched Chrome 74 that includes some interesting features

The new chrome74 has been launched recently by Google for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android users. It has got some amazing features which I am going to share with you.

The new chrome has been designed in such a way that it will reduce your motion sickness while you view any kind of motion effects, does parallax scrolling and zooming in. Moreover, the biggest loophole with Chrome was its Incognito Mode which allowed the website to identify the users who are browsing privately. Thus, the maximum chances of data breaches were there with it. Now, the good news is that Chrome has disabled this mode. So, website owners will have no information about the browsers.

What the future holds? The main issue is actually in the “FileSystem” API. So, disabling the Incognito Mode means blocking the API. Next time when the third party sites request for the FileSystem API, a temporary virtual file will be created in the computer’s RAM. So, the third-party sites will be unable to identify the system Chrome will be running and thus, it will no longer be able to identify the users. And, once the browser closes the temporary files will be deleted by Chrome.

Of course, this is a temporary solution to the problem. It will be fixed permanently only when API is removed completely.

Last month Chrome 73 was introduced by Google for macOS with Dark Mode feature. But, Chrome 74 Dark Mode feature will now support Windows 10 as well. But, you need to work a little harder for enabling the feature. All you need to do is select Chrome and visit its properties. At the target of the Target, location write command – force-dark-mode. Your Dark mode will be enabled.
